In interviews with journalist George Knapp last Sunday for Mystery Wire and Coast-to-Coast AM, English pop star Robbie Williams went on the record regarding his interest in paranormal phenomena.

"I can’t remember not being interested in unusual phenomena, and unusual phenomena has found its way to me several times," Williams said during his interview for Mystery Wire. "Once you see things, and once you experience things, then it’s very difficult to not remain interested and inquisitive and want to know what’s real and what isn’t real, why this is happening, what was that."

Williams insisted that he was sober during his own paranormal experiences.

"These are all things that have happened to me when I was sober," he said. "Because the first question that people ask is always 'oh yeah, well what were you on?' Well, I was sober when lots of these things happened. They happened, you know.”

“I carry on being interested,” he added. “Yes, I am a student, as it were, of the unusual. It’s fascinating, and it entertains me, and it scares me, and it makes me smile—all of the above."

Williams also joined documentary filmmaker Jeremy Corbell during the second half of Sunday's episode of Coast-to-Coast AM, which focused on Utah's infamous Skinwalker Ranch.

During the episode, Williams described having had paranormal incidents throughout his life, beginning when he was very young and relatives said he would "see people that had passed on, and...talk to them."

Later, as an adult, he witnessed a UFO pass silently overhead. Williams said the object was square, matte black, had yellow stripes, and was approximately 40 to 50 yards long. He also said that a mysterious gold ball appeared in the sky near his recording studio, but only while he was playing one particular song—a song, coincidentally, about UFOs.

Williams was able to visit Skinwalker Ranch during filming of the documentary Hunt for the Skinwalker, released in 2018. He said that he found the ranch to be peaceful, although he was ready to "get goosebumps and have the spidey senses flare up."

He did, however, talk about an unnerving experience he had in the ranch's research and security trailers.

According to Williams, his security guard saw an "eight-to-nine-foot shadow figure" following him, after which he declared "we're leaving here right now."

The 46-year-old singer added that his paranormal experiences ultimately stopped once he had kids. Williams is married to American actress Ayda Field, with whom he has four children.

"The strangest thing is that since I've had kids, the phenomena have ceased to happen," Williams said. "I'm guessing that once you have kids, they just take up all of your energy and your thoughts."
