Farrar: Beyond the Grave Conference

The most insane place you will visit this year. Come for one night or the whole weekend. Farrar the most haunted school in the Midwest and the Fox Valley Ghost Hunters invite you the public to join us.

Tobias will be discussing his work investigating 'Mothman' sightings around Lake Michigan. In the spring of 2017, a flurry of flying humanoid sightings in Chicago led to the discovery of a phenomenon that has existed in the shadows for decades; terrifying encounters with a winged being reminiscent of Point Pleasant's Mothman that left witnesses thinking they were alone in their experience, until now. Sightings have been reported in every state bordering Lake Michigan, and more witnesses are gaining the courage to come forward as the stories spread. This flap is a maddening mixture of misidentified animals and legitimate high strangeness, and if anyone tells you they've solved the puzzle—they haven’t.

The Singular Fortean Society will bring its Repository of Unusual Stories to Haunted America in 2019! Tobias and Emily Wayland look forward to recording your anomalous experiences in an attempt to better understand the experiential and often spontaneous nature of the unexplained. All recorded stories will be added to The Singular Fortean Society’s YouTube channel and shared on Haunted America’s website, but if anonymity is preferred then steps will be taken to assure it—including the exclusion of names, blurring of faces, and anything else that can be done to ensure every story can comfortably become an addition to their ongoing research. Be sure to stop by and see them in the Conference Vendor Room and share your stories of the strange, the haunted, the unexplained, and bizarre!
