Researchers Unmask Secrets of Mind Control

Researchers believe that they may be able to trigger thoughts in a person's brain by learning their individual brain patterns.  In theory, if we were able to connect one person's brain to another, then one could influence another's thoughts.

Researchers have so far used a technique called transcranial magnetic stimulation to allow two people sitting in different rooms to play a game of 20 questions on a computer.  The technique uses EEG caps that monitor brain activity to trigger an electrical current in the other person's brain.  They believe they may be able to push this idea further, in order to not only detect certain thought processes, but use them to influence the decisions a person might make.
