Happy Book Lovers Day!

I used to ride my bike to the library every single summer day that my mom would let me; from the time I was young enough to need permission, right up until I didn't, and beyond.  I loved to read books about UFOs, lake monsters, Bigfoot, demons--whatever weird thing I could get my hands on.  I loved the quiet of the library; how that silence made every strange book seem like a secret meant just for me.  It meant a lot to me, as a weird kid who felt isolated by the inexplicable things happening to and around him, to be able to read about other people who'd also experienced the impossible.  Those books didn't just change my life, in a lot of ways they saved it.  So, I hope you'll join me today in remembering why you love books, and maybe go get some of those older ones off of the shelf you haven't seen in a while--I don't know about you, but I feel like I owe them that much.

Yours in Impossibility,
